There is so much to learn about Epilepsy. The brain is a mysterious and intricate work of art that is difficult to understand all of the workings of the brain. We are so grateful for those that specialize in the study of the brain so that we can better understand. We are Embracing Hope Together so that one day, there will be better treatments and a cure for Epilepsy and prevention of SUDEP.
On the outside, one might not realize someone has epilepsy. On the inside, the individual might be feeling pain, embarrassment, auras, lack of dependence, tingling, muscle spasms and twitching, loss of consciousness, loss of body control and so much more.
By looking at someone, you most likely will not know that they have this neurological disorder, therefore, it is important to be trained and educated in seizure first aid.
Susan Branin, President of Embracing Hope Together speaks for the first time on the sudden death of her daughter, Micayla, due to SUDEP.
